| For the 2004 Parade Home, we wanted to create a special product utilizing green building methods and recycled materials. The design mimics a classic farmhouse style with detached barn (garage). Recycled fir was used for the wide plank flooring and the kitchen cabinetry was crafted from reclaimed barnwood. We took recycled core 10 metal and rusted it for a bathroom shower surround and used a galvanized bucket for the sink. The house and garage created a private courtyard complete with architecturally designed garden trellis, and a painted timber frame walkway arbor. With many unique design elements and a rustic farmhouse theme, this home truly set us apart. |
