The Perry renovation consisted of a new garage with an art studio/home office above, a redesigned front entry and porch, and a spacious detached guest house. The challenge of the project was incorporating the exterior of the old home with the new 2 story garage and separate guest house. This was achieved by adding classic exterior trim, expansive Trex decking, stamped concrete walkways and elaborate landscaping. The inside of the studio was accented with finished plywood flooring, laminated fir beams, and clear fir trim elements. Our true artistic talents came forth in the guest house, which displayed hand crafted timber frame beams, tongue and groove ceilings, and wire brushed pine flooring. For energy conservation, the use of structural insulated panels was incorporated into the roof design. By combining an existing gambrel style home with new craftsman elements, we created a truly unique residence.
